The College of Nursing organizes a scientific symposium on moral and intellectual deviation and how to address it.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad al-Nawab.
The Continuing Education Unit organized, within the visiting professor program, a scientific symposium on moral and intellectual deviation and how to address it, in which the son of the religious authority, His Eminence, the scholar Sayyid Mohsen al-Madrasi, lectured.A professor at the religious seminary in Karbala. In the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Sundus Baqir Dawood, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Lecturer Farhan Laith Aiz, Head of the Educational Guidance Unit at the college, and with the participation of His Eminence Sheikh Abu Ali al-Bawi, His Eminence Sheikh Hatem Karim, and Dr. Muhammad al-Hussaini.His Eminence addressed the problems and suspicions prevalent among university youth and answered them in a scientific manner according to the Book of God Almighty and the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, as this symposium was welcomed, warmly welcomed, and eager for these words from the students.
During the symposium, the spread of many abnormal and morally deviant ideas that Iraqi society has witnessed recently was reviewed, which requires a serious stance from all segments of society to confront them, due to the serious effects of these ideas on society.
The symposium addressed in its axes the concept of linguistic and general deviation, internal and external causes of deviation, the role of the family in eliminating deviation, the effects of deviation on the individual and its treatment.The symposium recommended proper religious education and expanding the circle of Islamic brotherhood, especially our students, to include the entire nation and establishing limits and reinforcements for them.
